1. Purpose and Scope

This Privacy Policy describes the general approach adopted by Solutions Logicielles Rubberduck VBA Inc. (the “Company”) with respect to privacy and personal information.

It applies to software, services, websites, code repositories, and communications operated by the Company, in their current or future form.

This version is intentionally high-level and transitional. It will be expanded and clarified as public products and services are formally announced.

2. Core Principles

The Company is guided by the following principles:

  • Privacy by default
    No non-essential data collection is performed without functional or legal necessity.

  • Progressive transparency
    Data practices will be documented publicly when they become relevant to users.

  • Consent and control
    Where personal information is involved, the Company aims for clear, understandable consent and allows withdrawal where applicable.

  • Data minimization
    Data is limited to what is reasonably necessary for operation, security, or support.

  • Respect for contributors
    Contributions (code, documentation, ideas) remain subject to the licenses and rights chosen by their authors.

3. Personal Information

At this stage, the Company does not define specific categories of personal information collected, as no public product or service has yet been formally announced.

When personal information is processed, the Company commits to:

  • clearly describing the categories involved;
  • explaining the purposes of processing;
  • complying with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

4. Users and Contributors

Users and contributors may reasonably expect that:

  • their contributions will not be exploited in a misleading or abusive manner;
  • their work remains governed by applicable licenses;
  • no hidden monitoring or intrusive data collection will be introduced without clear communication.

Detailed terms will be published prior to the deployment of any relevant features.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

The Company does not sell personal information.

Any potential disclosure to third parties (e.g. hosting or technical services) will be limited to what is strictly necessary and contractually governed where applicable.

6. Policy Evolution

This policy is expected to evolve.

Any more detailed or binding version will be published publicly and dated. The most recent version shall prevail.

No tolerance, waiver, or implied authorization is granted by the use or mention of these trademarks.
This position does not, in itself, preclude good‑faith coexistence arrangements where they are compatible with protecting the rights asserted.
